Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost to clean my carpet?

A: Considerations like soiling level, carpet material, preexisting defects, job location and access, repairs needed, and other variables are taken into consideration when pricing each job.

Q: How much does cost to get an estimate from SafeTech?

A: It's free! To get an accurate estimate, we'll perform several tests at no charge (ph, soiling, material identification, chemical reactivity, UV Light, and more). We'll also take area measurements and do a thorough investigation into your carpet materials and installation for no charge.

Q: Do you know what you're doing? Like, are you a legitimate carpet cleaner or a total hack that's going to ruin my property?

A: SafeTech only employs IICRC Certified Technicians with several years of cleaning experience. Your home is too valuable, and the cleaning process is too complex. Your property and health demand professional certification and prudent experience.

Q: How long will you be at my house to get my carpet clean?

A: We can provide quality results in most cases in as little as 1 hour for maintenance encapsulation cleaning, and as little as 3 hours for hot water extraction cleaning. We always deploy commercial air movers to speed up the drying process, but sometimes it can take longer for carpets to fully dry in some cases.

Q: Do I have to leave my house while you're cleaning?

A: Absolutely not, but some parts of the process can be noisy and/or draw odors out of your carpet. While you can 100% stay in your home, most people prefer to be out of the house to avoid the mild unpleasantness that can come about from deep cleaning your carpet.

Q: Can I get moldy carpet clean again?

A: Nope. Mold is no joke to deal with, and it usually points to a structural issue that a carpet cleaner isn't going to be able to address. It's best to get a licensed contractor to replace your carpet or to put a mold remediator on the job, or both.

Q: Can I clean my own carpet with a rental machine?

A: Absolutely, but the risk profile of DIY carpet cleaning isn't good. Renting a shampooer and providing the labor gets you some up front savings (maybe).

But the cost of screwing up is extremely high, as it could be a carpet disaster, leaving brittle or even worse staining than when you started. And you'd still have to call a pro to fix it.

Carpet cleaning is ultimately cheaper and easier when left to professionals.

Q: Do you charge a trip or a service fee?

A: Not for any jobs located in Ocean Shores (including Hogans Corner). A per-mile fuel fee is assessed for addresses outside of that area.

Q: How can you save me money?

A: Regular maintenance is always cheaper than restorative cleaning or replacement. Manufacturers also recommend regular cleaning to extend carpet life and protect your warranty.

It's cheaper to pay a pro to clean your carpet in the long run. Plus, you get beautiful carpet until it's time to eventually replace it.
